Vegan Ain't Cool ?

     Many people might think that being vegan is bland, something only the ‘uncool’ would do — especially since it doesn’t seem to fit with the cool, edgy, ‘bad boy’ image of hip-hop music and culture. However, these artists will completely change your perspective on the image of veganism.

 

     They are living proof that compassion — whether for animals, for health, for people, or even for our shared home called Earth — is for everyone, including people in the hip-hop world.

 

     Here are some hip-hop, R&B, and soul artists you might know well, and today you might be surprised to learn that these cool individuals are vegan. You can go vegan too!

A$AP Rocky began eating vegan in 2015 after learning about animal treatment in the food industry, particularly the use of steroids and the poor conditions in which animals are raised. He felt it was detrimental to both health and mind, leading him to shift toward a plant-based diet for his health and to support environmental sustainability. In his song 'Babushka Boi,' he even mentions his decision to stop consuming meat.
